Gheorghe Cliveti, PhD, Professor at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași, Director of the A. D. Xenopol History Institute (Romanian Academy). Besides other works, he authored Europa franceză și cauza română (1789–1871), Iași: Editura Junimea, 2010 and România și “alianțele germane,” 1879–1914, Iași: Editura Junimea, 2015.

Andreea Dăncilă Ineoan, PhD in history from the Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca. Her research areas include the history of the First World War, church history, the history of Transylvanian elites. She published studies in the volumes of some conferences and history journals, for example Memory of the war and the Revolution in the Mureș County. In “Communication, Context, Interdisciplinarity – Studies and Articles”, vol. III, Section: Journalism, Târgu-Mureș: “Petru Maior” University Press, 2014, pp. 230-240.

Dan Berindei, PhD in historical sciences, full member of the Romanian Academy since 1992. He is a specialist in modern history, interested in the political, social, and cultural history as well as the history of diplomacy and the international relations of Romania in the 19th century. He authored and co-authored over 50 books and over 500 articles and studies. We would like to mention Diplomația românească modernă de la începuturi la proclamarea independenței de stat (1821-1877), Bucharest: Editura Albatros, 1997 and Les Roumains et France au carrefour de leur modernité, Paris: Imprimerie Lienhart, 2002.

Liviu Maior, PhD in historical sciences, specialist in modern history. Among his areas of interest are the national emancipation movement of the Romanians in Transylvania, the relations between the Romanians and the Habsburgs, and the history of the First World War. He is the author of numerous studies and books, of which we would like to mention Români în armata habsburgică. Soldați și ofițeri uitați, Bucharest: Editura Enciclopedică, 2004; Habsburgi și români. De la loialitatea dinastică la identitatea națională, Bucharest: Editura Enciclopedică, 2006.

Ioan-Aurel Pop, PhD in historical sciences, specialist in medieval history, Rector of and Professor at the Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, and full member of the Romanian Academy since 2010. He is the author of many books, editions of historical sources, university treatises and manuals, as well as of over 400 studies, articles, book reviews, prefaces, etc. Among the most important titles are Românii și maghiarii în secolele IX-XIV. Geneza statului maghiar în Transilvania, ed. I (1996), 2nd revised and completed edition, Cluj-Napoca: Editura Tribuna, 2003 and „De manibus Vallacorum scismaticorum…”. Paul E. Michelson, PhD, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of History, Huntington University, Huntington IN, U.S.A. Among other works, he authored Romanian Politics, 1859–1871: From Prince Cuza to Prince Carol (Iași: Centre for Romanian Studies, 1998) and numerous articles regarding Romanian historiography.
