Abstract
Theoretical Approaches of the Magic Phenomenon in the Transylvanian and French Rural Spaces
This paper presents the opinions of several specialists concerning the historical study of the magical phenomenon. Most of them have underlined the fact that the best approach is a multidisciplinary one, due to the volatility of the subject under research.
Despite the technological progress and the modernization of the European society during the last half century, researchers have highlighted that an essential element still insufficiently explained is the way in which magical rituals, relics of the past, survive alongside the Christian ones in the rural family environment. The new generations that broke off this environment, now living in the city, kept these traditions and are transmitting them to their children. Keywords: magical phenomenon, European space, historiography.
